Whether you’ve decided to start your own business, return to work after a long break or change your career path, Women into Business is dedicated to supporting your return to the workforce.

We can offer you advice, guidance, friendship and a dynamic package of practical and specific services to help you make the transition.


Members can become part of a unique online networking community, bringing together member's, business community representatives and educational organisation's to share advice and information. You can avail of a range of interesting tools and support systems such as, online discussion forums, newsfeeds, E-Learning and mentoring opportunities to share your experience and gain valuable information, hints and tips from other members.

Through the website you will have the opportunity to explore your career options and network in a wide variety of settings. You will be invited to attend networking events and workshops, business visits, cross-border events, work placements and have the opportunity to receive unique one-to-one mentoring on a range of business related areas. This will help develop your professional, employment and business skills bringing you one step closer to achieving your full potential.

The Women into Business programme and website is focused on supporting women who are considering starting their own business or entering the job market. This includes:

  • women who are lone parents

  • women lacking educational background or qualifications, presenting a barrier to employment but with a hobby or skills they could turn into enterprise

  • women who have been out of the labour market due to childcare and would like to return to economic activity

  • women who are under-employed, who could additionally run a part time business to improve their standard of living and job satisfaction

  • ethnic and migrant women

  • women on Incapacity Benefit and/or Disability Living Allowance who may be able to do something part time in spite of their disability

  • women with long term disabilities

  • women with other caring responsibilities

  • women who have been made redundant

  • women who are on benefits.
