Funding Opportunities - Community Foundation NI

Community Foundation for Northern Ireland has been trusted for over 35 years as a secure means through which donors choose how, when and where they give, by helping them to set up funds, supporting them to make grants and to see the impact of their donations on local communities in greatest need. Currently, they have a number of funds open for application now! Check out these funding opportunities here.


Women's Fund

The womens fund for Northern Ireland's Individual Bursaries have been set up to fill a gap in fudning opportunities for individual women who require a small amount of financial aid to support them towards fulfilling their potential.

Area: Northern Ireland

Grant: £300 - £500

Priorities: Bursaries to support women to re-enter the workplace.

Telecommunity Fund 

The telecommuity fund was established with capital from BT, management and unions. It exists to support small, locally based grass roots community projects.

Area: Northern Ireland

Grant: £500 - 1,500

Who can apply: Constituted grass roots community and voluntary groups. Priorities to young people, older people and people with disabilities.

The Wesleyan Foundation Small Grants Fund

The Wesleyan Foundation was established in 2017 to support arious causes throughout the UK. They ain to help Community Groups and Organisations based with regions covered by the Wesleyan Assurance network.

Area Covered: Belfast

Grant: Up to £2,000 for small; between £2,000 - £10,000 for large

Who can apply:Groups with less than £250,000 income PA. Groups must have existed for 2 years minimum.

Area: Northern Ireland

Grant: Up to £500 with the possibility of a further £500

Priorities: Groups with no formal governance structure

Acorn Flood Fund

The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland has launched the Acorn Flood Fund to assist with the severe impact of summer flooding on the lives of people living in the North West.

Area: Derry/Londonderryacorn.jpg

Grant: Up to £2,500

Priorities: Groups whose work is in line with the charitable purposes of the Foundation and whose work has been impaired by the flooding
