Get Into... Security with Eventsec (Belfast Met)

The Prince Trust's Get Into... Security course, delivered in partnership with Eventsec, will give you the skills to unlock your potential.

Meet new people and gain a range of skills, including workplace and hazard awareness and conflict management.

We’ll also help you with your CV and interview skills.

Not only will it boost your confidence and employability skills, but you’ll also have the chance to benefit from support from one of our mentors to help you uncover your next steps.

The course offically starts on Monday 7th August 2017 and runs for 2 weeks

You will gain an NCFE Level 2 award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events

You'll also gain SIA training, including physical intervention and an SIA License

There will be ID requirements to complete the SIA process

The course kicks off with a Taster Day on Tuesday 1st August 2017. On this day you will be required to bring photo ID and proof of address for SIA purposes.

LEMIS+ Project @ GEMS NI (Shaftsbury Square)

Out of work and looking a new job? The LEMIS+ Project which runs across Belfast, helps people find employment and seek new opportunities.

The project provides:

  • 1-2-1 Employability Mentoring with help to source and secure employments
  • NEW Wellbeing programme to help those whose health is their biggest barrier to employment build confidence, promote positive thinking and achieve potential
  • Various job related qualifications
  • Links to employers who are actively seeking staff

Anyone who is unemployed (on JSA) from Belfast or who is economically inactive is eligible to apply.

Hospitality Employment Academy (Greater Belfast area)

The Hospitality Employment Academy (HEA) is a new employability programme provided by Belfast City Council to help provide you with the necessary skills needed to gain employment opportunities within the hospitality sector.

Through the HEA programme you’ll:

  • Be supported through personal development mentoring
  • Develop the skills required by the sector
  • Develop your interview skills and have the opportunity to interview for a real job

The project is ongoing between October 2016 - May 2017. To participate you must not be in work and be a resident in the Belfast City Council area. Further eligibility requirements will apply.
